What is the Banking Ombudsman?

The Banking Ombudsman is a senior official appointed by the Reserve Bank of India to resolve customer complaints against banks that are not resolved satisfactorily within 30 days.

When Can You Approach the Ombudsman?

  • Your complaint is not resolved within 30 days
  • You are not satisfied with the bank's response
  • Your complaint was rejected by the bank
  • You have escalated through the internal grievance process
