Positive Pay

As per RBI Circular DPSS.CO.RPPD.No.309/04.07.005/2020-21 dated September 25, 2020, The Jalgaon Peoples Co-op Bank Ltd. has implemented the Positive Pay System for all cheques of value ₹ 5,00,000 and above to enhance customer safety in cheque payments and reduce instances of fraud occurring on account of tampering of cheque leaves.

How Positive Pay System Works

Through the Positive Pay System, cheques will be processed for payment based on information passed on by the customer at the time of issuance of the cheque. The customer must provide the following cheque details to the Bank before the cheque is presented for clearing:
Account Number Cheque Date Beneficiary / Payee Name Cheque Number Cheque Amount Transaction Code MICR Code SAN Number (last 6 digits of A/c No.)
